When Shanti Bhavan Medical Center began treating COVID-19 patients, the number of people seeking our care greatly decreased. This was because people were afraid of contracting the virus, and therefore avoided visiting the hospital at all costs—even if they desperately needed medical care.
As fear of the virus continued to spread, it became clear that we needed to develop a solution to separate the COVID and non-COVID patients in order to limit transmission of the virus within the main hospital grounds.
Our team has assessed this issue and firmly believes the solution is to build a separate Covid Annex Building outside the main hospital. This will allow our staff to treat COVID patients without spreading the virus to those seeking other types of care within the main hospital.
We rely on donors, philanthropic foundations, and other organizations to fund our programs and services—and the Covid Annex Building is no different. If you’re seeking an opportunity to help India in the fight against COVID-19 and other deadly diseases, this is your opportunity to do so.
